The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign
This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed passion for treats. Several previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this total queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol known for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about others.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it became consciousness through pure resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Detached air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
